Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at Leeds College Of Building.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all costs are carefully considered and accounted for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of construction techniques and building methods.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and information for estimating purposes.
  • Prepare and present detailed estimates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that estimates are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 4 GCSEs grades A-C (9-4) and a minimum of 2 A Levels or BTEC equivalent.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction and the built environment, such as a BTEC Subsidiary or Extended Diploma or an Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.

Salary:

Newly trained estimators can earn £18,000 - £20,000, while trained and experienced estimators can earn £20,000 - £35,000, and senior, chartered or master estimators can earn £35,000 - £40,000.
