About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with learning difficulties and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to access their learning and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with learning difficulties and ASD, helping them to access their learning and overcome challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a smooth and effective learning environment.
  • Assist with setting up and clearing away materials for lessons, as well as supporting students during outdoor activities such as PE or outdoor learning.
  • Help students to develop their independence and self-confidence, encouraging them to take ownership of their learning.
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with learning difficulties and ASD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive and supportive attitude, with a passion for making a difference in the lives of students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
