Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to join our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support to our medical teams, ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical services.

Main Responsibilities

Typing clinical and administrative letters, answering telephone enquiries, and dealing with patient queries are just a few of the key responsibilities of this role. You will also be required to cover the Medical Secretaries during periods of absence and contribute to multi-disciplinary team meeting work.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent administration/secretarial skills, audio-typing experience/qualifications, and a good understanding of customer relations. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a busy office environment, prioritizing tasks and managing your time and workload efficiently.
