About You as the Buy-to-Let Loan Underwriter

Your Experience as a Buy-to-Let Loan Underwriter:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in underwriting both straightforward and complex Buy-to-Let products, demonstrating a proven ability to critically analyze financial information of potential borrowers.
- Currently possess a Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) of at least £500,000.
- Proficient in manual underwriting in accordance with the organization's credit policies, across various Buy-to-Let categories, including portfolio landlords, HMO, and MUB properties, as well as limited company and LLP structures.

Key Responsibilities of the Buy-to-Let Loan Underwriter
Reporting to the Head of Underwriting, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating new lending applications for risk and quality across the Buy-to-Let product range. This includes, but is not limited to, portfolio landlords, corporate structures, and complex property types.
Your responsibilities will encompass preparing comprehensive underwriting notes to support credit proposals, making decisions to approve or decline applications in alignment with policy, or recommending actions to the Head of Underwriting when mandate limits are surpassed. You will communicate decisions transparently and constructively with colleagues in Relationship Management and Operations.
