Reed is collaborating with a Third Sector organization to recruit a Director of Occupational Health and Safety, responsible for the comprehensive oversight of health and safety operations across various regions. The ideal candidate will promote health and safety consciousness, develop and uphold systems and protocols, and ensure compliance with legal obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and sustain health and safety policies and protocols across all regions.
  • Create systems for recognizing, managing, and monitoring health and safety hazards.
  • Drive continuous enhancement in health and safety management and training initiatives.
  • Perform organizational health and safety evaluations.
  • Gather, analyze, and report health and safety data to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
  • Stay informed on health and safety issues and collaborate with external agencies and regulatory bodies.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH Diploma (H&S) or equivalent certification.
  • Membership in a relevant health and safety professional organization (e.g., IOSH, IIRSM).
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a comparable role and setting.
  • Proven experience in formulating health and safety policies and protocols.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety legislative requirements within the UK & ROI.
  • Proficient IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
