Job Title: Shift Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Team Leader to join our Production Team at IPL Wolverhampton. As a Shift Team Leader, you will be responsible for the management of an operational team to ensure self-sufficiency and efficiency in the production process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage HSE issues and maintain a zero-accident mentality
  • Ensure production meets sales requirements, focusing on quality, cost, and delivery
  • Schedule and utilize labor to achieve production goals
  • Identify and facilitate training needs and people management
  • Use Pareto analysis to drive improvement and reduce waste
  • Communicate with the team through visual management and shift briefs
  • Undertake performance management and take responsibility for team members
  • Work closely with the Production Manager and Engineering Manager to escalate production issues
  • Accurately complete compliance paperwork and daily shift reports
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a Shift Manager or similar role
  • Lean manufacturing or production management experience
  • GCSE Grade C and above or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Fully computer literate and competent in Microsoft packages

This is a continental shift pattern role, requiring flexibility and a commitment to working on a 2-day shift, 2-night shift, and 4-day off schedule.
