Clinical Fellow in Ophthalmology

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Fellow in Ophthalmology to join our team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain advanced specialist training in Vitreo-Retinal and work closely with our experienced consultants.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Provide high-quality Ophthalmology services to patients, with a specialty interest in Vitreo-Retinal.
- Work collaboratively with other Ophthalmologists to maximize the utilization of theatre lists and outpatient clinics.
- Ensure the provision of good standards of practice and care, adhering to the GMC Guidance 'Duties of a Doctor'.
- Participate in audit and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Work closely with the CBU management team to ensure efficient delivery of services and adherence to best practice.

Person Specification- Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligible for specialist registration within six months of interview.
- Adequate training in Ophthalmology and excellent clinical skills.
- Ability to apply sound clinical judgment and demonstrate clear, logical thinking.
- Emergency eye casualty experience and extensive experience in Vitreo-Retinal.
