Job Title: Trust Clinical Fellow ST3+ in Ophthalmology Vitreo-retinal

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Fellow to join our team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain advanced specialist training in Vitreo-retinal and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Job Summary

The Trust Clinical Fellow ST3+ in Ophthalmology Vitreo-retinal is a fixed-term position that offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in Vitreo-retinal. The post is based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary and is part of the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide Ophthalmology services at the University Hospitals of Leicester, with a specialty interest in Vitreo-Retinal.
  • Work flexibly and cooperatively with other Ophthalmologists to maximize the utilization of theatre lists and outpatient clinics.
  • Ensure the provision of good standards of practice and care, as described in the GMC Guidance 'Duties of a Doctor', are followed at all times.
  • Participate in audit and contribute to the improvement of clinical practice.
  • Work closely with other specialties, departments, and outside agencies to deliver the objectives of the Division and Clinical Business Unit.
