About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Functional Assessor to join our team at Maximus. As a Nurse Functional Assessor, you will play a vital role in conducting assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to gather information about a person's condition and its impact on their daily life.
- Use your clinical skills and knowledge to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine eligibility for benefits.
- Work with a diverse range of customers and handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Manage your caseloads efficiently to deliver a high-quality service.
Requirements
- NMC registered nurse with 1 year's broad post-registration experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working towards individual and team targets in a supportive environment.
- Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health.
