Job Title: KS1 Teaching Assistant with SEN Expertise

Tradewind Recruitment have partnered with an Ofsted-rated "Outstanding" primary school in Sutton to find a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in KS1 or KS2.

Job Description

We are seeking a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with an autistic pupil in KS1 or KS2. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of supporting children with autism and relevant classroom experience.

  • Supporting a pupil with autism in a 1:1 setting
  • Leading intervention sessions for SEN groups
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Following pupils' targets in line with their EHCP
  • Monitoring pupils' progress
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant
  • A good understanding of supporting children with autism
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure and professional reference checks
  • Your CV to cover the last 10 years of employment history, with any employment breaks explained
  • The legal right to work in the UK
