Job Title: KS1 Teaching Assistant with SEN Experience

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with an Ofsted-rated "Outstanding" primary school in Sutton to find a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in KS1 or KS2.

About the Role

We are seeking a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with an autistic pupil in KS1 or KS2, creating and leading intervention sessions for SEN groups, and promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Supporting a pupil with ASD in a 1:1 setting
  • Developing and delivering intervention sessions for SEN groups
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitoring pupil progress and following EHCP targets
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant
  • A good understanding of supporting children with autism
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any employment breaks explained
  • The legal right to work in the UK
