Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at a popular food-led pub with rooms in the Peak District area. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement menus that showcase local seasonal produce and cater to the diverse tastes of our guests.
- Lead and motivate a team of 4 chefs to achieve exceptional results and maintain a positive work environment.
- Manage kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the management team to achieve business objectives and drive revenue growth.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef Manager in a similar establishment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and guide the kitchen team.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local seasonal produce and ability to create menus that showcase its best qualities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
