About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Breakfast Host/Hostess to join our Food and Beverage team at Conrad London St James. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience in our breakfast area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Coordinate seating for customers, ensuring a seamless dining experience
  • Upsell with latest departmental incentives, driving revenue growth and exceeding targets
  • Manage table set-ups, maintaining a clean and organized environment
  • Work in all areas of Food and Beverage, including Bar, Restaurant, Room Service, and Conference and Events
  • Follow cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner, resolving issues promptly
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, maintaining a high level of quality and service excellence
  • Strive to achieve departmental targets, contributing to the success of the team
  • Ensure cleanliness of work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation
  • Comply with local licensing laws, ensuring a responsible and compliant service
  • Be environmentally aware, reducing waste and promoting sustainability
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary, maintaining good working relationships
Requirements
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to delivering high levels of customer service, exceeding guest expectations
  • Excellent grooming standards, maintaining a professional appearance
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations, adapting to changing demands
  • Ability to work on your own or in teams, contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment
Desirable Skills
  • Previous Food and Beverage and/or industry experience, with a proven track record of success
  • Experience with cash handling, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy environment
