Salter Grange Limited is a distinguished and expanding main contractor recognized globally for providing innovative engineering and construction solutions across a wide array of technical sectors. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee a data centre project in Frankfurt, Germany.


As a Mechanical Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to lead, manage, and oversee a team of mechanical tradespeople, ensuring that safety standards, quality benchmarks, and project timelines are consistently achieved.


You will report directly to the Mechanical Project Manager and collaborate closely with them and other site team members to successfully deliver a state-of-the-art data centre project.


With a legacy of excellence spanning several decades, Salter Grange Limited has established a reputation for reliability and expertise in handling technically demanding projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee site safety in collaboration with the Safety Advisor.
  • Conduct daily and weekly toolbox talks.
  • Manage site quality assurance alongside the Mechanical Package Manager.
  • Assist in updating the Project Schedule in coordination with other trades, Package Leads, Consulting Engineers, clients, and relevant third parties.
  • Facilitate onsite coordination of activities with other trades.
  • Oversee all daily operations on-site.
  • Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress against the schedule and manpower levels.
  • Participate in Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Coordination Meetings, and Handover Meetings.
  • Attend System Walkdowns, both internal and client-focused.
  • Manage and resolve all punch items.
  • Ensure the correct revision of drawings is utilized for construction activities.
  • Prepare a weekly look ahead to ensure coordination with other trades.
  • Issue internal weekly progress reports detailing progress percentages based on WBS codes and highlighting any risks within the contractor's control.
  • Schedule and track material deliveries to align with the project schedule.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a supervisory role.
  • Prior experience in construction operations.
  • Professional qualification as a Fitter or Welder.
  • Trade Qualified professional certification.
  • Willingness to travel to the project site.
  • Experience in Process Piping Projects.
  • Background in the Pharmaceutical sector.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to positively influence others and convey technical concepts clearly.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with a history of managing, mentoring, and motivating staff to maximize performance.
