We are seeking a skilled Technical Estimator to join our team at Focus Resourcing Group, based on the outskirts of Cardiff. As a key member of our Operations Team, you will be responsible for interpreting customer needs and providing accurate project-specific solutions using company software and design tools.


Main Responsibilities:


Ensure timely, accurate, and commercially sound project quotations and technical submissions to maximize conversion to order.

Develop and maintain effective communication within the Operations Team
Manage, update, and take ownership of project folders.
Obtain all key information at the enquiry stage to offer the best suitable solution to the client.
Confidently discuss technical information with customers.
Ensure designs produced are compliant with current legislation, regulations, and industry best practice.
Support customers and colleagues in the timely resolution of technical enquiries.
Provide excellent customer service to colleagues and customers alike.
Requirements:


Good working knowledge and experience in a similar technical role, ideally with a commercial market focus.

Strong commercial awareness and a solid understanding of engineering, contractual principles, and methods of working.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills.
A mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering qualification, such as an HNC or equivalent.
A strong technical mechanical or electrical background.
