About the Role

Mbi Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our team in the London borough of Merton. As a key member of our Access & Assessment Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality services and promoting independence for service users and their carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and support plan for service users, ensuring their needs are met and their independence is promoted.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including Special Education Needs Co-ordinators and Health services, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Attend meetings and set up holistic support plans with relevant stakeholders, prioritizing the views and wellbeing of service users and their families.
  • Raise and manage safeguarding concerns, addressing all relevant matters and presenting cases at the weekly Risk Panel when necessary.
  • Manage a caseload of complex cases, working closely with families and service users to promote their views and wellbeing.
Requirements
  • Professional Social Work Qualification (BA in Social Work or equivalent) and valid registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Experience in a social work role, preferably in a multi-disciplinary setting and across professional boundaries.
  • Full driving licence and use of a car (preferable).
  • Willingness to undertake further training to acquire post-qualification awards.
  • Best Interest Assessor qualification or willingness to undertake training (if eligible).
