The Role: SEN Learning Support Worker - KS2

We are currently partnering with a highly regarded special school in the Devizes area seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Worker to join their vibrant KS2 team. This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with complex needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Collaborate closely with the SENCO and class teacher to implement tailored educational plans and strategies.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes engagement and participation.
  • Assist students with daily tasks, including personal care, mobility, and communication as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements, contributing to ongoing assessments and evaluations.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience working with children with complex special needs, including ASD, Complex Needs, SLD, MLD, and PMLD.
  • A deep understanding of SEN legislation and best practices in inclusive education.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning styles.
