Position Summary
The Electrical Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, playing a pivotal role in supporting manufacturing operations. This position focuses on maintaining equipment during breakdowns and executing planned preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
- Adhere to Company Environmental, Health, and Safety protocols.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance assignments.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment during breakdown situations.
- Ensure safe isolation of equipment.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization while working.
- Collaborate across various departments to meet production objectives.
- Issue work permits for site contractors, ensuring compliance with site regulations.
- Completion of a full-time apprenticeship.
- Essential qualifications include BTEC National or City & Guilds and HNC.
- MEWP and harness training from a recognized organization is advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical background with expertise in AC drives/inverters and DC drives/controllers.
- Familiarity with electromechanical systems and optical sensors.
- Basic knowledge of PLCs, power electronics, and electrical installations.
- Experience with Fanuc robots is a plus.
- Understanding of Permit to Work systems.
- Proficient in using computer-based maintenance management systems.
- Expertise in problem-solving and fault-finding.
- Knowledgeable in safe work systems, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
- Able to fulfill the physical demands of the role.
