Key Responsibilities:
  • Employ digital forensic methodologies and tools to assist in internal fraud investigations and utilize host-based and network forensic techniques to gather intelligence on Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) associated with threat actors and malware, facilitating knowledge sharing across internal teams.
  • Utilize hands-on experience to create proactive threat-hunting strategies in scenarios lacking alerting mechanisms or rule-based systems.
  • Conduct thorough examinations of systems potentially compromised in critical IT infrastructure breaches, delivering root cause analyses, impact evaluations, and swift responses to identify responsible parties while recommending preventive measures for future incidents.
  • Draft comprehensive investigation reports detailing forensic inquiries, breach incidents, privacy violations, and data exposure cases.
  • Support the creation of internal training programs to uphold exemplary high-tech investigative standards.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills essential for interpreting investigative needs, providing technical advice, and documenting analytical findings in detail.
  • Initiate and manage innovative forensic research and development projects to remain at the forefront of emerging technologies and bolster cybersecurity defenses.
  • Establish and implement protocols for identifying, managing, collecting, preserving, analyzing, and documenting forensic findings.
  • Design and enforce digital forensics and data protection security solutions and standards, in line with industry best practices.
  • Customize audit protocols for the digital forensics environment, assess incident response and evidence handling procedures, and propose enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Technology, and Human Resources departments to support incident response, litigation, and regulatory compliance efforts.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
  • Over 5 years of experience in digital forensics, incident response, e-discovery, and malware analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer forensic best practices and industry-standard methodologies for host-based and network investigations.
  • A proven history of conducting live digital forensics, log-file assessments, and network forensic analyses.
  • Experience in investigating data compromise incidents, understanding networking protocols, and performing packet analysis using industry-standard tools (e.g., X-Ways, EnCase, Volatility, Rekall, Wireshark, SIFT, Cellebrite).
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to execute forensic examinations.
  • Capability to clearly articulate and visually present complex forensic investigation results.
  • Proficiency in coordinating with business stakeholders to achieve targeted objectives.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in forensic analysis and thorough documentation of investigative processes.
  • Expertise in multiple scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, JavaScript, PowerShell) with the ability to create, debug, and modify scripts for task automation and data manipulation.
  • Advanced understanding of digital forensics tools and techniques, including memory forensics, network traffic analysis, and malware reverse engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop digital forensics solutions and standards.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
  • Experience in malware reverse engineering.
  • Relevant digital forensics certifications (e.g., GCFA, GNFA, GCFE, CFCE).
  • Information security technology certifications (e.g., GCIH, GREM).
  • Proficiency in automating tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Ruby, Bash).
