About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Pitlochry Dam Visitor Centre. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our visitors have a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve high-quality food and beverages to meet our centre's standards and policies.
  • Perform general kitchen and café duties, including serving, washing up, setting up, and clearing down.
  • Assist with cleaning the centre, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all designated areas.
  • Deliver exceptional customer care, interacting with visitors and providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve our mystery visit score and identify ways to improve service delivery.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience of providing customer service in a fast-paced environment, ideally within the catering sector.
  • Barista training is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience of cash handling and the ability to operate a PC-based till would be preferred, however training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Adaptable and organised in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stay up to date with Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Food regulations.
