Role Objective:
To cultivate and sustain process knowledge and expertise for manufacturing assets at the Warrington facility.
To spearhead, oversee, and engage in process engineering evaluations, designs, and engineering initiatives that bolster site and business development.
To deliver troubleshooting and support for production processes at the Warrington facility.
To lead and implement plant trials to facilitate new product and process innovation.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure that process safety is thoroughly integrated into all process designs.
2. Prioritize Health, Safety, and Environmental considerations in all process interactions.
3. Adhere strictly to the standards of good manufacturing practice (GMP), good hygienic practice (GHP), and HACCP relevant to the operational area.
4. Exhibit the necessary training and competence to lead Hazop 3 reviews and conduct pressure system calculations.
5. Monitor process performance to swiftly identify and rectify issues, maintaining process stability using tools like Aspen Process Explorer for troubleshooting.
6. Support change management to ensure effective control and approval of process modifications.
7. Design and enhance new processes/products and refine existing ones to achieve project goals while meeting essential HSE and engineering standards, including:
- Equipment design and process specifications
- Equipment selection
- Process economics
- Commissioning, training operators, and transitioning to Operations
- Process optimization
- Issuing technical reports/process and equipment specifications for internal accessibility
8. Identify and assess opportunities for process improvements.
9. Provide technical/process troubleshooting to resolve manufacturing challenges.
10. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Project Engineering, Quality, R&D, and Operations, while engaging with external partners such as equipment suppliers and professional services.
11. Develop and maintain process knowledge and expertise for specific manufacturing technologies.
12. Manage and oversee agreed process, product development, and engineering projects to achieve desired outcomes efficiently and cost-effectively.
13. Advocate for the application of PQ methodologies for structural improvement (7 steps) and project execution.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

- A university degree (bachelor's or master's) in chemical/process engineering, with 1-5 years of experience in process technology, engineering, and project management within a large chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and change management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively, engaging with diverse functions and personnel.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient command of English, with additional language skills preferred.
- A solid understanding of good manufacturing practices, good hygiene practices, and related product safety systems (such as HACCP) is advantageous.
