Key Responsibilities- Assist with problem reports and investigations to identify and resolve issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and productivity.
- Support the development and implementation of risk assessments and permits to work.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and reduce downtime.
- Lead process improvement initiatives using the PPI methodology.
- Develop and maintain operational discipline and agile leadership skills.
- Support site projects and contribute to finding innovative solutions.
- Engineering modern apprenticeship or time-served experience (City & Guilds / BTEC / NVQ Level 3).
- Minimum HNC qualification in engineering.
- 5 years proven experience post HNC.
- Multi-skilled (Elec/Mech).
- Engineering career goal.
- Experience of implementing change, process improvement, and reducing costs.
- Work in ISO 5 & ISO 7 clean rooms, wearing personal respirator hood PPE.
- Responsible for PMs, calibrations, and servicing on key equipment.
- Supervise contractors, FSE, and service providers.
- Plan personal work requirements.
- Emphasize minimizing downtime and increasing availability.
- Understand and safely use workshop tools (hand tools / automatic tools).
- Ability to become proficient in Life Science instruments.
- Understand and use CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).
- Routine maintenance of associated laboratory, manufacturing, and workshop equipment.
- Complete documentation to GDP standards.
- Maintenance activities within the clean room environment.
- Support and align with the Company's safety and hazardous waste management program.
- Adhere to EHS policies and procedures.
- Experience working in an ISO13485 certified environment.
- PLC experience.
- Robotics and automation experience.
- Pneumatic knowledge and experience.
- Manage workload independently within scope of activities agreed with Supervisor.
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well alone and as a team.
- Ability to adopt SCRUM methodology and utilize as a planning/scheduling tool.
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure with strict attention to timelines and details.
- Excellent time management & organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage and contribute to CI based projects.
