Procurement Expert for Commercial Fit Out

Rogers McHugh Recruitment is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join their team in Liverpool. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing and supply chain management, with a focus on commercial interior design and fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and purchase materials, equipment, and services for commercial interior design and fit-out projects.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best value.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and manage supplier contracts.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely deliveries to meet project schedules.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with project specifications, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products that can enhance project outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
  • Resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, and invoices in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Qualification within purchasing, supply chain would be advantageous.
  • Experience as a Buyer in the construction industry, preferably in commercial interior design and fit-out projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure favourable terms and conditions.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards is a plus.

Salary:

  • £40,000 - £60,000 (DOE)
  • Company Bonus
