About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Team Leader to join our team at Great Western Railway (GWR). As a key member of our LTV Engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our Class 387 fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Control all movements within Cocklebury Sidings and undertake Light Maintenance Repairs and preparation of rolling stock in accordance with local agreements.
  • Ensure that rail vehicles are received from, and delivered to, the customer safely in an efficient, punctual, and economical manner.
  • Be responsible for the safety and workload of the Technicians and Contractors.
  • Support Maintenance Control with technical advice/fault finding.
Requirements
  • NVQ L3 or Equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Full Driving Licence.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern which will include weekends & nights.
  • Knowledge of Class 387 T&RS.
About the Location

Cocklebury is a sidings just East of Swindon station, that supports the class 387 fleet. The team also support the wider industry with specialist skills to support Freight operations.

Working Pattern:

A shift roster consisting of Days and Nights, giving around the clock 24hr coverage, including Weekends and Bank holidays.
