Position Overview

As a Project Engineer specializing in Asset Integrity and Offshore Operations, you will play a pivotal role in managing complex projects, ensuring efficient planning and execution both in the office and on-site. Your contributions will be essential in adhering to TechnipFMC's Project Management Processes, working closely under the guidance of the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and verify technical documentation, including procedures, specifications, and work packages.
  • Provide administrative support for project management activities, both in the office and on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with the Project Management Process and Business Management System (BMS).
  • Alert the Project Manager or Lead Project Engineer to any potential technical, scheduling, quality, or safety issues.
  • Oversee subcontractor management to guarantee timely procurement of equipment and services.
  • Assist the Project Manager in managing modifications, upgrades, and refurbishments, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with Discipline Engineers and Superintendents for necessary input and guidance.
  • Support the planning engineer in developing and maintaining project schedules.
  • Effectively manage changes throughout the project lifecycle in accordance with established procedures.
  • Participate in risk assessments and ensure that impacts of modifications are thoroughly documented.
  • Visit TechnipFMC vessels to ensure project scopes are accurately compiled with the Offshore Management Team's support.
  • Implement and uphold Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) controls throughout the project.
  • Promote QHSE best practices through personal example.
  • Review vendor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements to ensure high surveillance levels during execution.
  • Coordinate with Integrity and Certification Engineers to maintain vessel certification compliance.
  • Facilitate communication between the Offshore Management Team and Contractors during project execution.
  • Assist the Project Manager in evaluating tenders from various vendors.
  • Compile Technical Reports and assist in preparing as-built documentation for handover.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Finance departments to develop timely procurement plans and manage project costs.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, you should possess:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to lead when necessary.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Solid understanding of QHSE standards and risk assessments.
  • Capability to deliver high-quality results under pressure.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas or Marine sectors, either in practical site roles or office-based engineering positions.
  • Willingness to work in a multinational environment and travel to various sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Qualification (Level D for APM) and familiarity with project management tools.
  • Proven expertise in your specific discipline.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while adhering to financial constraints.
  • Experience managing suppliers and stakeholders during project execution.
  • Understanding of financial, commercial, and contractual obligations with vendors.

Educational Background:

Essential: HNC/HND or degree in a relevant Engineering or Project Management discipline.

Preferred: Degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture, with relevant experience in marine, offshore, or oil and gas industries.
