About the Role
Exeter College is seeking an experienced and skilled Designated Safeguarding Officer to join its Student Services Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient management of safeguarding in line with regulatory and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Faculty Management Groups, Tutorial Area Managers, Personal Tutors, and Resilience Officers to ensure effective safeguarding practices.
- Develop and implement safeguarding policies and procedures in accordance with College requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to staff and students on safeguarding matters.
- Conduct risk assessments and investigations as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on safeguarding incidents and concerns.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and students at all levels. A strong understanding of safeguarding principles and practices is essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
