Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing whole-class coverage during the absence of the lead educator or during planning, preparation, and assessment (PPA) time.
  • Assisting the educator in customizing the curriculum to foster student success.
  • Collaborating with the educator in lesson planning for future sessions.
  • Implementing school policies and procedures, including safeguarding measures for students.
  • Creating and maintaining a safe and enjoyable learning atmosphere.
  • Encouraging student engagement and nurturing a passion for learning.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and effective strategies to support a diverse range of learners. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential. Attributes such as patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting young individuals are crucial. Candidates should hold a Level 3 or 4 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, a Level 4 Diploma in Childcare and Education, or equivalent qualifications in early years or childcare.
