About the Role
KPMG Law is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Knowledge Management function.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive knowledge management strategy to promote excellence, commerciality, and efficiency across the firm.
- Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration among lawyers and other stakeholders.
- Assess and address the firm's current and future knowledge management needs, working closely with practice group leaders and other teams.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems to capture and share knowledge across the firm.
- Secure leadership support for the adoption of the knowledge management program and drive continual service improvement.
- Monitor knowledge trends, legal technology trends, and law firm business trends, and share this information across the firm.
- Work with KPMG's Learning and Development function to embed a culture of continuous learning and align professional learning and knowledge management.
- Identify knowledge management opportunities to solve business challenges and improve client service, working with the Business Development and LegalTech teams.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a practicing lawyer and a minimum of 4 years' knowledge management experience operating at a senior level.
- Experience of creating and implementing new knowledge management programs and policies within a budgetary and set timeframe.
- Experience of working across multiple locations and a strong understanding of the firm's business needs.
- Strategic, creative, and commercial thinker with good judgment and a skill in identifying and prioritizing added value and strategic tasks.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with intellectual rigor on both practical and academic issues.
- Strong listening skills with the ability to discover and understand the needs of stakeholders.
- Team player with a 'can-do' attitude, combining high EQ and determination to work effectively with senior stakeholders and the firm's lawyers across different disciplines and locations.
- Ability to motivate and persuade lawyers to contribute knowledge and to adhere to knowledge management processes.
