Job Title: Area Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to join our team at John Sisk and Son. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of works at managed stations in the Western route.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Lead a team of supervisors and operatives, ensuring that HSQE controls are in place and that work is delivered safely and to a high standard.
- Project Delivery: Plan and coordinate resources for safe and quality work execution, monitor progress, and identify areas for improvement.
- Client Management: Maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, propose strategies to meet changing client needs and expectations, and manage stakeholders and ensure effective communication.
- Reporting: Attend meetings, produce achievable programs, and escalate issues as needed, maintain project data systems for client access.
- Risk Management: Obtain necessary approvals, carry out risk reviews, and implement corrective actions, collaborate with the QS on commercial matters, and address safety, quality, and environmental issues.
- People Management: Manage the reactive team, provide business support, and lead subcontractors, promote Sisk values and act as an ambassador.
- Commercial Management: Support commercial requirements, update project programs, and assist with quotations, follow company protocols for invoices and payments.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years project management experience with a focus on HSEQS standards.
- Skills: Strong communication, project management, and analytical skills, excellent time management and teamwork abilities, ability to interpret commercial procedures and construction requirements, extensive knowledge of construction trades and codes of practice.
- Qualifications: Relevant academic or industry qualification in progress, certifications in CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, and CDM Awareness, desirable qualifications in construction and personal track safety.
