Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Business Development Manager to join our team at Rev & Regs. As a key player in driving the growth and expansion of our client base, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new client opportunities across general insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed new business targets, focusing on building strong relationships with new clients and providing tailored insurance solutions.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build a pipeline of potential clients and establish the company as a thought leader in the insurance industry.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for new clients to provide expert advice on a wide range of insurance covers and ensure clients are fully protected.
  • Collaborate with Account Handlers to streamline administrative processes and provide mentorship to develop their expertise in managing client books.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the insurance industry, including market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and apply this knowledge to drive business growth and improve client outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in the insurance industry, with a strong preference for those with a background in broking or underwriting.
  • Proven track record in generating and converting new business leads within the insurance sector.
  • Extensive experience in managing client relationships, with a focus on understanding client needs and providing tailored insurance solutions.
  • Experience representing a company at industry events and building a strong network of potential clients and industry contacts.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively with clients and underwriters to secure favourable terms.
  • Proficiency in insurance software systems and a strong understanding of various insurance products and policies.
  • Relevant industry certifications, such as those from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), are highly desirable but not essential.
