This post is part of the EU Horizon project "ACMod: Affective Computing Model from Facial Expression to Mind-Reading." The project involves seven universities and three industrial partners, with a focus on mental health. You will work with Dr. Hongchuan Yu, the principal investigator, to advance the state-of-the-art in understanding and modeling naturalistic facial behaviors in social interaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a mental health app with two main functionalities: assessing individual profiles to recommend suitable therapists and creating a digital community platform for therapists to share educational content.
  • Create a Microsoft Copilot-based VR/AR tool for clients to interact with virtual therapists in a VR/AR environment, while therapists can intervene and observe during virtual video-therapy sessions.
  • Design and develop a prototype of a mental health app with a focus on community building and virtual therapy sessions.
Requirements

To be considered for this appointment, you must have a PhD degree in computer science or a related field, along with at least one additional degree in computer science. You should also have experience in app development based on Android and iOS, ideally having launched a live community-building app.
