Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Educator to join our team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering clinical education programs, promoting a culture of learning and development, and providing coaching and guidance to staff.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and Deliver Clinical Education Programs: Work collaboratively with clinical teams to develop and deliver education programs that meet the needs of staff and learners.
- Promote a Culture of Learning and Development: Create an environment that encourages learning and sustains personal and professional staff development.
- Provide Coaching and Guidance: Offer coaching and guidance to less experienced staff to support their development and career progression.
- Identify Training Needs: Undertake training needs analyses to inform a training plan that utilizes both internal and external education resources.
- Provide Governance: Ensure the delivery of local induction for new staff and provide governance in relation to mandatory and specialty-specific education and training.
- Support Career Development: Support career development through the provision of career conversations and identify potential continued professional development (CPD) opportunities.
- Develop and Maintain a Training Database: Develop and maintain a training database to track staff development and training.
- Promote a Positive Culture: Promote a positive culture to support psychological safety for all staff and learners.
Person Specification:
- Essential Qualifications: Current professional registration with NMC or HCPC, recognized teaching qualification or equivalent experience, coaching or mentoring qualification or completion of practice educator preparation program.
- Desirable Qualifications: Experience of contributing to the development of Trust policies, teaching and presentation skills.
Other Requirements:
- Able to Travel: Able to travel independently across Cumbria.
