Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Pertemps Network Group. As a Teaching Assistant with British Sign Language (BSL) skills, you will play a vital role in supporting students with hearing impairments to access an outstanding education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize BSL to communicate with and support students with hearing impairments.
  • Act as a Teaching Assistant, providing academic support in lessons.
  • Communicate effectively with class teachers to ensure students receive the necessary support.
  • Deliver 1-2-1 intervention sessions as required.
  • Liaise with parents to provide feedback and updates.

Requirements:

  • Level 1, 2, or 3 in British Sign Language.
  • Previous experience supporting young people with hearing impairments.
  • Confidence in communicating via BSL.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
