We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Aspiring Clinical Psychologist / Autism Support Assistant at a reputable school in Camberley, supporting children aged 4-19 with complex needs.

The school prioritizes addressing the educational, social, and therapeutic needs of students, focusing on individual happiness and well-being. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, working alongside teachers and specialist staff to support students with various barriers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with learning difficulties, including autism, sensory impairments, physical difficulties, and SEMH needs.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Psychologists, and Counsellors to provide comprehensive support.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, secure, and empowering environment for students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Person Specification:

  • Passionate about helping children and young people achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Approachable, empathetic, and able to build robust relationships with students.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic, with a professional approach to work.
