Supporting Vulnerable Children

We are seeking a dedicated Graduate to work as an Aspiring Clinical Psychologist / Autism Support Assistant at a school in Surrey, supporting children aged 4-19 with complex needs.

This role offers a unique opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, working alongside teachers and specialist staff to provide support to students with learning difficulties, including autism, sensory impairments, physical difficulties, and SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with complex needs in a collaborative team environment
  • Developing and implementing individualized support plans to promote student well-being and academic success
  • Working closely with Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Psychologists, and Counsellors to provide comprehensive support
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to students, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Passion for supporting children and young people with complex needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
  • High levels of empathy, compassion, and a commitment to promoting student well-being
