Medical and Surgical Ward Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical and Surgical Ward Nurse to join our team at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Medical and Surgical Ward Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Main Responsibilities:- Deliver high-standard nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Respond to clinical emergencies and participate in a team approach to achieving ward objectives.
- Use medical equipment safely and competently, and record and monitor vital signs as required.
- Participate in mandatory training and adhere to NMC Code of Professional Conduct and Trust Values.
- NMC registered nurse with a Nursing Degree.
- Ability to effectively function as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to assess patients, develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care.
- Ability to communicate effectively and safely administer medicines according to NMC Guidelines.
- Ability to keep accurate records in accordance with NMC Guidelines.
- Recent nursing experience in an acute general ward, A&E, ITU, and/or Theatres.
- Recent nursing experience in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge/understanding of confidentiality issues.
- A level of nursing knowledge consistent with the standard required for registration.
- NMC Code of Conduct.
- Commitment and adherence to the Equality Act.
- Demonstrating understanding of Trust Values.
- Commitment to further professional development.
