Job Title: Senior Commercial Contracts and Procurement Solicitor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Contracts and Procurement Solicitor to join our team at Novax Recruitment.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing a Contracts Lawyer, allocating work to them as needed, and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of developments in relevant areas of law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a Contracts Lawyer, allocating work to them as needed
  • Undertake a substantial personal caseload of complex contract work, including legal advice, drafting, negotiation, and agreement of documentation
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of developments in relevant areas of law
  • Assist with litigation, advice, and general work of Legal Services as required
  • Meet chargeable hours targets and ensure the Contracts Section meets performance and quality standards
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified lawyer in England and Wales with local government experience in public procurement law.

We are looking for a candidate who is highly skilled, experienced, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
