Job Title: Supervisor - Canteen Operations

We are a leading manufacturer of ready meals for top UK supermarkets, committed to delivering exceptional quality, value, and service to our customers.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our on-site canteen, serving up to 400 staff members. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving hot and cold meals, managing the canteen team, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve hot and cold meals for up to 400 staff members daily, adhering to menu plans and quality standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of canteen staff, ensuring they are trained to meet company standards for food safety, safe working practices, and customer service.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, allergen policies, and health and safety standards.
  • Order and manage inventory of food and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and optimal stock levels.
  • Assist the Canteen Manager with stock takes, audits, and other administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in supervising a team of up to 5 staff members.
  • Experience in cooking at bulk volume for large groups.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Good understanding of English, both written and oral.
  • Basic numeracy skills and ability to manage inventory and finances.
  • Pass level 2/foundation of food hygiene certification.
  • Desirable: allergen awareness and training.
