Senior Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Pure Resourcing Solutions Limited in Felixstowe. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the preparation of the annual statutory accounts, coaching and mentoring a small team, reviewing accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with IFRS, handling the financial consolidation process including relevant reporting requirements, and ensuring VAT compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the preparation of the annual statutory accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coach and mentor a small team of accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
- Review and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with IFRS, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
- Oversee the financial consolidation process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
- Ensure VAT compliance, managing the VAT process and ensuring accurate reporting.
- Take responsibility for corporation tax aspects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with relevant financial accounting experience.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to lead and manage change effectively, with a clear vision and goals.
- Experience of managing a team in a mentoring capacity, with a focus on developing and coaching team members.
