Job Title: Mechanical Test Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Test Engineer to join our team at our purpose-built testing facility in Northamptonshire. As a Mechanical Test Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting mechanical tests on a wide range of products, including EV batteries, using our state-of-the-art test chambers.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in test engineering, production engineering, development, or design. You will be comfortable working on a night shift as the sole technician and will have a supporting mechanical engineering qualification of HNC or above.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct mechanical tests on products using our test chambers
  • Monitor and identify correct operation of test equipment, cables, and report failures
  • Creation of test project reports
  • Report testing project status to the Project Manager / Lab supervisor
Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of £35-40K, with a 30% shift allowance on nights, taking your OTE up to £52k. You will also receive a company contributory pension scheme and a salary sacrifice electric vehicle purchase option.

Working Hours:

The night shift hours are 8:30pm – 6:45am Monday to Wednesday and 8:30pm – 6:35am Thursday, with a 50-minute break.
