Position Overview

Lead Manager for a Children's Residential Service

As a Lead Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the children residing in our facility receive exceptional care, support, and a nurturing environment.

About the Role

Our young residents, aged between 7 and 18 years, often face challenges related to Social, Emotional, and Mental Health as well as Complex Needs. Your leadership will be essential in managing the staff and resources effectively to create a positive living experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the daily operations concerning the care, safety, and development of all residents.
  • Oversee the management, development, and coordination of the home and its outreach initiatives.
  • Evaluate and enhance the work practices of staff in their interactions with young people, families, social workers, and external agencies.
  • Participate in training sessions as necessary to maintain professional development.
  • Demonstrate experience in working with children with Learning Disabilities and Emotional Behavioral Difficulties in a residential context.
  • Utilize childcare standards and best practice models to inform decision-making processes.
  • Translate organizational policies into effective practices.
  • Possess management training and relevant experience.
  • Hold child-related or social care qualifications.
  • Exhibit knowledge of equal opportunities and diversity frameworks.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of childcare and child protection legislation.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of Ofsted requirements.
  • Provide evidence of successful Ofsted inspections.
  • Ensure a satisfactory DBS check is in place.
Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary of up to £50,000, inclusive of bonuses based on experience.
