About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior CDM Advisor/Principal Designer to join our team at Carriera. As a key member of our consultancy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with the statutory duties outlined in the CDM Regulations 2015.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive CDM/Principal Designer support to design teams and clients.
  • Ensure all projects comply with CDM Regulations 2015.
  • Collaborate with other design disciplines to plan and coordinate health and safety during pre-construction.
  • Develop and deliver core CDM documentation, including significant hazard and risk registers, design risk management, and PCI packs.
  • Manage all aspects of the Principal Designer role, ensuring best practices are followed.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in design and construction health and safety. Your skills and qualifications should include:

  • A NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction qualification, along with a design/construction qualification.
  • Membership in IOSH and APS is preferred.
  • Significant experience in a similar role, with a strong construction background and deep knowledge of design and construction health and safety.
  • Thorough understanding of CDM 2015 Regulations and other relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Expertise in compiling and reviewing significant hazard and risk registers, design risk management, and PCI packs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to thrive in a client-facing role.
