Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Field Service Technician to join a dynamic and expanding organization that specializes in intricate design and construction solutions, primarily within the water and wastewater sector.

Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess experience in a comparable role, particularly in environments related to water and wastewater management. Key qualifications include:

  • Proven experience in an engineering setting (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Possession of relevant certifications such as:
  • CSCS or equivalent.
  • EUSR Water and Sewage (preferred but not essential).
  • PASMA (desirable but not required).
  • IPAF (desirable but not required).
  • High-risk confined space certification (desirable but not required).
  • Abrasive wheels certification (desirable but not required).
  • Strong understanding of pipework, screens, pumps, and motors.
  • Essential experience in an on-site engineering context.
  • Prior exposure to the water industry (preferred but not essential).

Compensation Package:
We offer a competitive hourly wage ranging from £16 to £24, depending on experience, along with:

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring project progress and informing management of any deviations from the delivery scope.
  • Testing mechanical systems and equipment using advanced testing devices to ensure safety and compatibility.
  • Inspecting mechanical systems and components to identify potential hazards and necessary repairs.
  • Executing tasks as directed by site supervisors and project managers.
  • Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining mechanical equipment using hand tools and power tools.
  • Performing mechanical tasks such as pump replacements, screen and pipework installations, alignments, and troubleshooting.
