Job Title: Humanities Teacher - 1 Year Maternity Cover

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join our team on a 1-year maternity cover basis. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons to our students, ensuring the department and school achieve their aims.

About the Role:

  • Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that cater to the needs of our students.
  • Manage classes effectively, using approaches that motivate and engage students.
  • Manage student anxiety to create a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
  • Assess student progress and understanding in the subject area.
  • Experience of teaching at any key stage is desirable.
  • A dedicated work ethic to ensure the needs of all students are met.
  • Passion for making learning effective and enjoyable.

Cambian Wisbech School is an independent, DfE-registered, co-educational day school providing specialist education for up to 40 students, aged 7-17 years. We aim to re-engage learners with their education and replace feelings of failure with a sense of belonging and success.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience in a SEMH/SEN specialist provision or mainstream/college setting.
  • Ability to assess student progress and understanding.
