About the Role

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Orthopaedic Trauma Liaison Nurse-Paediatric Orthopaedics. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in promoting and delivering excellent care to children with orthopaedic injuries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing communication between team members, assisting in the planning and delivery of emergency care, and preparing patients for surgery. You will also attend and coordinate care in the fracture clinic, working closely with the Paediatric Orthopaedic Multidisciplinary Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and organisation of emergency care and treatment for patients admitted to the orthopaedic department.
  • Prepare patients for emergency/trauma surgery, ensuring seamless coordination with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Attend and coordinate care in the fracture clinic, providing expert nursing care to patients.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be a registered nurse with experience in paediatric orthopaedics, and possess the skills and knowledge to work in a fast-paced environment.
