Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at Blue Arrow - Aberdeen. As a key member of our maintenance and property department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general painting and decorating duties to a high standard, ensuring a professional finish and attention to detail.
- Implement and maintain health and safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues, providing excellent customer service and communication.
- Establish and implement a routine to carry out daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, in consultation with senior team members.
- Perform a range of tasks, including stripping, cutting, and hanging wallpaper, applying finishing paint to internal and external surfaces, and tapping plasterboard surfaces.
- Manual handling and other duties as required, within your capabilities.
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Planning and prioritization skills, with a proactive approach to work.
- Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Current driving license and reliable transportation.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Relevant experience as a painter and decorator or equivalent qualification, such as City & Guilds or Scotvec.
