As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Head Chef and Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring that food preparation and cooking are completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and preparation of menus, ensuring that dishes are creative and of high quality.
  • Work closely with the Executive Head Chef and Head Chef to maintain a positive and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Train and develop junior chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Contribute to the development of new recipes and menu ideas, incorporating fresh and seasonal ingredients.
  • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are met, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end kitchen, preferably in a luxury health spa or wellness establishment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train junior chefs.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on using fresh and seasonal ingredients.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining a calm and organized demeanor in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Availability to work a 39-hour week, with straight shifts and occasional overtime.

Benefits:

  • Base salary of up to £33,000 per annum.
  • Share of staff tips, approximately £1,200 per year.
  • Meals on duty.
  • 28 days' holiday per annum.
  • Free parking.
