School Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a reliable and skilled School Caretaker to join our team at Busy Bee Recruitment. As a School Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the facility, performing cleaning tasks, and supervising cleaning staff as required.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify any maintenance needs and address them promptly
- Manage the security of the premises, including locking and unlocking buildings, monitoring access points, and responding to any security issues
- Oversee the cleanliness and tidiness of the facility, performing cleaning tasks and supervising cleaning staff as required
- Communicate effectively with other staff members to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks
- Liaise with contractors and maintenance companies when necessary, overseeing that work is carried out to an acceptable standard
- Clean and tidy all yards, paths, gullies, and drains on a regular basis, including the emptying of all external litterbins, including a daily check for litter and graffiti
- A valid DBS check will be beneficial
- Previous experience in a caretaker or cleaning position
- General knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations
- Happy to do physical work and manual labouring
- Experience of managing buildings, grounds, and related facilities
- Previous background and experience of working in a school environment is beneficial
