About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Network Service Technician to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our field operations team, you will be responsible for resolving customer network challenges and ensuring minimal disruption to customer supply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Take personal ownership of customer queries and respond to and resolve issues at their homes or places of work.
  • Field Operations: Collaborate with contractors to perform planned and unplanned work, investigating clean water networks to resolve poor performance, including high or low pressure, leakage, metering queries, and loss of supply.
  • Burst Main Control: Help control burst mains, ensuring isolation to facilitate planned work, emergency repairs, and maintenance.
  • Valve Operations: Look after valve operations and water sampling, as well as valve checks and planning.
  • Teamwork: Work well within a team, covering core and standby hours through all hours of the day.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Experience: Have excellent customer service experience and a can-do attitude.
  • Initiative-Taking: Be initiative-taking and assured of completing tasks to the best of your ability.
  • Time Management: Have excellent time management and a solution-focused attitude.
  • Driving License: Hold a full UK driving license and be happy to drive between jobs.
