Electrical Estimator Job Description

RGB Network is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects using Ensign Software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand the scope of work.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project conditions, if necessary.
  • Calculate the costs of materials, labour, and equipment required for the electrical components of a project.
  • Use estimating software to input data and generate detailed estimates.
  • Factor in potential risks and uncertainties that may affect costs.
  • Prepare detailed and itemized bid proposals for submission to clients or general contractors.
  • Ensure all estimates align with project timelines and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to review estimates and finalize bids.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project budgets.
  • Monitor and update estimates as project details evolve.
  • Ensure estimates comply with local codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Prepare reports on project estimates, including cost breakdowns and justifications.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator or in a related field.
